Chandani Khan

Chandani Khan is a talented and determined deaf women's cricketer from Mumbai, Maharashtra. A dependable all-rounder, she has earned recognition for her aggressive batting, effective pace bowling, and strong leadership on the field. Representing Mumbai at the national level and in the Women's Deaf Premier League (WDPL), she has consistently demonstrated dedication, resilience, and a passion for the game.

Her cricket journey began with a childhood dream. Although she rarely saw women playing cricket while growing up, her love for the sport never faded. In 2021, after learning about opportunities in deaf women's cricket, she joined the Indian deaf cricket system with determination and began training seriously. Through discipline, hard work, and unwavering commitment, she quickly established herself as an important player in domestic deaf cricket.

As the inaugural captain of the Mumbai Stars in the Women's Deaf Premier League, Chandani has shown exceptional leadership both on and off the field. She played a vital role in guiding her team to the championship title in the 3rd T20 Women's Deaf Premier League 2026, while continuing to represent Mumbai successfully in national competitions.

Beyond her achievements, Chandani's journey is a story of courage and perseverance. After losing her father at the age of four, she was raised by her mother, whose sacrifices and encouragement inspired her to pursue her dreams. Today, she continues to make her family and the deaf community proud through her dedication to cricket and her commitment to inspiring the next generation of deaf women athletes.
