Sai Akash is passionate about playing cricket with big dreams and his aim was to represent his country, India. His interest in the game of cricket helped this extremely talented young man from Chennai who has reached great heights at a very young age. His cricketing career started in 2012. And with the focus he demonstrated, he got the opportunity to be part of the Indian team in 2018, and not only that, he performed well to win. He has also played as an all-rounder in many matches. It signifies bigger and better things to come in the future. After that famous victory, he joined the senior team. The right handed batsman at the opening showed tremendous maturity as he took advantage of the opportunities at his disposal and showed his sense of belonging. He started batting with great freedom and enthusiasm. He was calm and brave for his openness on and off the field, but every quality that Sai Akash possessed gave his teammates the courage and strength to play. He took it all into his game and excelled in every game. He scored his first half-century against Sri Lanka in Delhi in November 2018.
