Umar Ashraf Beigh is an Indian cricketer, born on 7th January 1995 in Baramulla, North Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Umar has been representing his state from his teenage years, where he was playing at the Under-14 level. He plays a role of an all-rounder in the team, being a right-hand batsman and wicket-keeper. Umar is also pursuing his bachelor's degree from Kashmir University.
Since a young age, Umar has been deeply interested in cricket and aspired to represent India internationally. His dedication and passion for the game have helped him achieve significant success at a young age. In May 2022, he played his first series in the IPL for the Deaf in Delhi, marking a milestone in his career. Umar has played for both his state and country, earning numerous awards and accolades.
Umar received the J&K State Sportspersons Award in 2019. He was also part of the Indian Deaf Team in the Deaf-ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in UAE and was the Runner-up in the IDCA 5th Deaf-IPL T20 2024 in Jammu.
